Remember how I said that my book was going to be a 50 Shades meets Kitchen Confidential type of deal? Well, when I got to the steamy 50 Shades-esque stuff, I started to feel like a perv. “I can’t write and publish this!” I thought. I was starting to wonder if anonymous publication would have been a better option. Of course, it would have been too late for that anyways since I already shared bits and pieces of the book, publically. And you guys all know who I am. Honestly, it’s not the general public that is going to make me want to crawl under a rock. It’s a book that I’d die from embarrassment of if family members or the church pastor picked up. The rest of you, feel free to read and enjoy!
I can only imagine what E. L. James was going through if she was stressing over her kids ever reading the book, let alone hearing about it (which probably wasn’t easy, becoming the best seller and all). I really hope that her kids never did read her masterpiece. They’d never be able to look at mom the same way again. So anyways, yeah….this has become a little dilemma that I’ve been not knowing what to do about. But that is to be dealt with later, I guess.
Other then that, the President of my fan club, Sandra, and I like the way that the book is progressing. I put in what ‘I’ personally love when I get into a story, whether it be in books, movies, or Kdramas. Like I said, you can expect a lot of yummy food scenes, which I hope will put you in craving modes. When I was watching the Kdrama “Let’s Eat“, I said to myself that I want my book to make the reader drool the way the food scenes in the drama made me drool. If you haven’t watched it yet, Ms. President and I highly recommend it!
Some of the steamy scenes take place in the professional kitchen after hours. For those that read Kitchen Confidential, you already know that such things do go on behind that swinging door. And I’ve heard enough stories from my fellow colleagues to know that crazy things actually do happen where your food is being prepped and stored.
Brad and Tiffany’s love story goes beyond the lustful attraction. It turns out that they were each other’s first kiss. Too much time has passed for them to recognize each other as adults. And they don’t discover who the other is until they coincidently run into each other on a getaway, at the same spot where the two of them shared their first kiss. He’s there for a Bachelor’s party. She’s there for girl time with mom. And everything starts coming back to them, taking them back to their pimply faced adolescent years.
I still don’t have a clue about what the title is going to be. But I do know what kind of a book cover I want. I was toying with the idea of a woman (only torsos showing) in a white chef’s jacket being unbuttoned from a man behind her, also in a chef’s jacket. He has one hand on her and one hand holding a cast iron skillet. What do you think?
Oh and by the way, I made a page of the list of the blogs I follow. I made it mainly for my own reference, but also to share with you some blogs worth checking out if you already aren’t. I don’t have time to visit each and every blog regularly, but if you are on the list, it means that I think your blog is pretty cool. So feel free to feel special.
