I realized that places with high ratings turn out to be disappointments more often than it should. I guess since writing Yelp reviews is accessible to anyone and everyone, you really gotta filter out who to trust. I had THE WORST disappointment when I trusted some of the Yelp ratings for an establishment that I recently visited. The place had mixed reviews, but the positive ratings really had me thinking that the place was worth checking out. And I don’t think I spit out food in a really long time until eating the garbage there. Well, at least now I know which Yelpers NOT to trust lol.Anyways, maybe the key to Yelping is to find folks that have a decent following that seem to have a palate similar to yours. Who can give me some tips for Yelping (Faye)?

I wonder how efficient Yelping really is. I haven’t been Yelping for too long. I have been Yelping as long as I have been blogging (several months). And I only have two friends on Yelp, -Faye, my first Yelp friend and another Yelper, Rhox, whom I just friended today. The new Yelp friend resides in my hood and I guess we visit (or plan to visit) some of the same establishments in the area. This town doesn’t really offer too much for foodies, and everything closes so early. Other than Yelping to check out the reviews for places I want to visit and writing an occasional review, I am still trying to figure out how Yelp works.
